Kelton ISD art students competed in the Annual Paul Laune Memorial Art Competition for High School students. The Plains Indians and Pioneer Museum in Woodward Oklahoma held the event. There were 12 schools that entered. There were 340 entries and 142 entries made it into the Juried Art Show. The judge was Wallace Owens a retired art professor from Gutherie, OK. Some of the schools that competed were Laverene, Canton, Seiling, Alva, Woodward, Turpin, Booker, Perryton, and Canadian.
Kelton ISD had 5 students who got into the Juried Show. Shai Dougherty, Leslie Alvarado, Kristen Garner, Paloma Contereas, and Tammye Lumpkin. Paloma place 1st in Drawing and Tammye placed 3rd in drawing.
